Audio Analogue

An interesting multichannel room, with the new Cinecittą power amp (which can really drive difficult loudspeakers, a thing which is still incredibly rare in multichannel amps) and the new decoder-preamp, driving to really good effect a set of B&W Nautilus series speakers. The room notwithstanding, it was possible to appreciate a high level multichannel performance. Some discontinuity on records choice prevented the chance to appreciate the real level of the multichannel system created by the Italian manufacturer for a part of the visitors, which is a shame.

Dromos

The small Dromos room was a kind of paradigm of what it is possible to do in an unfriendly environment, with a little bit of imagination and some quality products. The terrible acoustics has been tamed with the insertion of a big, irregular and curvaceous equipment stand. The system was formed by the extraordinary tube output stage Thetis DVD Audio/CD Player, the Metis tube preamp, the Noesis power amps (also tube) and the Flegias loudspeakers (at least when I stopped by). Really convincing sound, very clean, dynamic, transparent and smooth, to prove the maturity of this manufacturer.
