Tell more about you and about your entry in cables "game"

I am a businessman, not an audiophile. I met Richard Smith in 1972 when he came into my health food store and saw my Bose 901 loudspeakers. Richard and I went into the high end audio business the first time in the early 80's and became known for the SiderealKap capacitor, that was rated by Martin Colloms (HiFi New and Record Review) as the best capacitor in the world.

I co-founded Audience with Richard Smith in 1997. My position is President and CEO.

Simply put, Audience was founded for the development of the very best audio/video products, with Richard Smith as the director of Product Development.
Which is your opinion about Cable industry in general
In general, there is a lot of hype of ultra inflated pricing. The intention at Audience is to deliver very musical products at reasonable prices.

Snake oil and cables manifacturing
There is lots of snake oil in this business. It is very easy for anyone to buy some wire, dress it up with a story and go into business. The human ear and brain is more sophisticated, by far, than any test equipment or technical specifications than any man made device can generate. I strongly recommend that consumers trust their ears more than anything else.
The future of hifi cables industry and the future of your firm
Audience plans to continue to develop superior products like the newly released adeptResponse power conditioner. Our next release will likely be the true line source active line array loudspeaker system.
